The Challenge In the highly competitive Sri Lankan e-commerce landscape, driving direct website purchases (conversions) is significantly harder than simply getting post likes. During the peak seasonal period of December and January, the client faced the challenge of cutting through the noise to sell high-ticket items-specifically Gaming Consoles and Seasonal Gift Hampers-while keeping advertising costs low. The primary goal was to move beyond “Brand Awareness” and achieve “Direct ROI” (Return on Investment).
Our Approach Leveraging the power of Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Advertising, we developed a data-driven strategy focused on “Purchase Intent.” Instead of targeting broad audiences, we utilized advanced interest-based targeting to isolate users specifically interested in PC Gaming, Console Gaming, and Online Shopping. We implemented a robust A/B testing framework, comparing Single Image Ads against Carousel Ads to determine which visual format drove the highest click-through rates (CTR).
